What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us see how the site is used, or tell advertisers that someone clicked their advert and later made an enquiry.
This site is run by 32 Squared Media Ltd ("we", "us"). This page explains the cookies we use and how to change your choice. Our privacy policy explains what we do with personal information, including what you enter in an enquiry form.
Your choice
When you first visit, our cookie banner asks which cookies you accept. Until you choose, we set no statistics or marketing cookies, and statistics and marketing tags do not run, with two exceptions explained below: Microsoft Advertising's cookieless page-view signal, and our own advert-tracking cookie, which is set if you arrive from an advert.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: Change your cookie consent.
You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you block the necessary ones.
The cookies we use
Necessary
These are needed for the site and our forms to work and to keep them secure. You cannot switch them off in the banner.
- Our cookie banner stores your cookie choice so we don't ask you on every page.
- Security cookies, including those set by Cloudflare, protect the site from abuse.
- Enquiry form cookies carry a form choice (lg_form_start) and, after you submit an enquiry, keep your thank-you (lg_ty) and phone-verification (lg_sms) references out of the page address when needed. They last up to 30 minutes and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
Statistics (only with your consent)
These help us understand which pages people use, so we can improve the site.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google)
- PostHog (page views, stored in the EU)
Marketing (only with your consent)
These tell advertising platforms that someone arrived from one of their adverts. The platforms use this to measure and improve our adverts, and may show you our adverts on other sites.
- Google Ads, including remarketing and Google's conversion linker
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing, UET tag)
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
- Taboola
We load these through Cloudflare Zaraz, and some are sent from our server rather than your browser. They set cookies only after you accept marketing cookies. Microsoft Advertising works slightly differently: its script loads on every page and, before you choose, sends Microsoft a page-view signal without setting any cookies. That signal includes the page address (with any Microsoft advert click ID in it), the page you came from, the page title, and your screen size and language. Microsoft's cookies are set only if you accept marketing cookies.
Our own advert-tracking cookie (__Host-lg_touch)
If you reach our site by clicking an advert or a tracked link, the page address usually contains tracking details, such as an advert click ID (for example Google's gclid, Microsoft's msclkid or Meta's fbclid) and campaign tags (utm_source, utm_campaign and similar). We use these to know which advert brought you to us.
This cookie is set when you arrive from an advert, whatever you choose in the cookie banner.
When you land on a page with these details, our server:
- keeps a short record of them: the click IDs, campaign tags, the page you landed on, the time, and the rest of the page address with any email addresses removed. This record stays on our systems and is deleted after 7 days.
- sets a cookie called __Host-lg_touch in your browser. It holds only a random reference number, signed so it can't be altered, that points to that record. It contains no personal details and can't be read by scripts on the page or by other websites. It expires after 24 hours.
If you then submit an enquiry, the form sends the cookie to our server, and we attach the advert details to your enquiry. This lets us report a sale back to the right advert. If you arrive without any tracking details in the address, the cookie is not set.
When you make an enquiry
When we pass your enquiry on, we tell Google, Microsoft and Meta from our server that it came from their advert, so they can measure their adverts. We do this whatever you chose in the cookie banner. We send your email address and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, the advert click ID if you arrived from an advert, and the value and time of the enquiry. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
